Can I work with you even if I’m not based in the UK?Absolutely yes! Thankfully, I work through Zoom which means that I can work with people from any part of the world. Time difference can be a factor but most people can find something that works for their own time zone.
-
What framework do you use?I use a combination of my own knowledge and experience along with ACT which stands for acceptance commitment therapy. You can find more detailed information about ACT therapy online.
-
Do you use CBT?I don’t currently use CBT as I don’t find it to be effective at managing health anxiety for my clients.

What is the difference between regular sessions and the Masterminds?I offer traditional therapy sessions through Zoom which are done on a 1:1 basis meaning it’s a session just for you. This is useful for people who really want to delve into their anxiety and to have the personalised support from myself along the way. My Mastermind’s are health anxiety courses/programs that run over a 6 week period. There are often up to 100 people booked on and they work in more of a lecture/workshop style where everyone tunes in via Zoom and I am talking about a different topic each week for example, managing health anxiety triggers. Both are really great options. It’s more of your own person preference. I sometimes have people that will do both!

How many sessions do most people need to recover?Everyone is different but I have worked with many clients who have found a block of 6 sessions to be highly effective in giving them all of the tools that they need to move forward. However, it is important to remember that everyone’s recovery journey will look a bit different. Some people prefer longer term therapy which is also something that I offer.
-
How should I space my block of sessions out? Some people, particularly those who are really struggling, like to meet weekly for consistency, where as other people like a bit more time in between appointments to try out some of the tools & to have more to talk about at their sessions. These people will often opt for sessions every other week or perhaps once a month. The choice is really up to you!

Is recovery from health anxiety possible?Absolutely, yes. However, it’s important to remember that life will always throw us challenges and part of the human experience is having anxiety sometimes. But, can we learn to manage the disorder that is health anxiety and to learn better coping strategies to life’s hardships? Absolutely. I am living proof!
-
Can I come back for more sessions if I need them?Absolutely! I have clients who will have a block of sessions and then will book the odd session for a recap every now and again which is absolutely fine by me. You can book sessions as you please.
-
Do I need to have my camera on during Zoom sessions? Not if you don’t want to! I do think that showing our face can help with feelings of vulnerability and allow us to be more open but I would never push someone if they just wanted to keep their sessions to audio only.
-
Do you work with children?I currently only work with +18 year olds.
-
What is your cancellation policy?I understand that sometimes things come up so I am happy to reschedule or offer a full refund to people who have booked a single appointment if given 24 hours notice. After 24 hours there are unfortunately no refunds. With blocks of 6 and 12 sessions, if given 24 hours notice of the first session, I am happy to reschedule or offer a full refund. However, refunds are not given, for example, in the middle of a block of sessions for the remainder of sessions left. With Mastermind’s (6 week anxiety courses) you can get a refund if given 24 hours notice of the first session.
